Welcome to 1st South Walsham Guides
The Cupcake Challenge still going strong in 2016
Cupcake Challenge badges are still on sale in 2016 – the year in which they are helping us make our second trip to Switzerland.
We’ve had so many requests for our lovely badge in the last few weeks and months, that we have decided to re-order and start selling again.
Our first badge project, from 2011-13, resulted in a huge response from more than 1200 groups in the UK and across the world who all took up the challenge and completed the badge.
We sent badges to all corners of the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, the USA and the Middle East.
You helped us to raise money for our trip to Switzerland in 2012 and for our stay at Norjam, the international jamboree in Norfolk in 2014.
Now off to Adelboden in Switzerland again in August 2016 and are fund-raising to help meet the costs.
So why not give it a try?
You can download the Cupcake Challenge badge pack, click here
And you can send us words and pictures of what you did during your challenge for inclusion in our Cupcake News, which will be back up and running soon.
Please note that postage costs have gone up since our original challenge was published in 2011 and you’ll need the 2016 order form with the new P&P prices now. Badges are still £1 each.
Who are 1st South Walsham Guides?
We are a unit of 20 Guides, two Young Leaders and four Adult Leaders, based in South Walsham, in the heart of the Norfolk Broads.
We’re part of Girlguiding UK – the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women in the country. Guides are aged between 10-15 and you don’t have to have been a Brownie to join us.
We get involved in lots of different activities and projects – outdoors, creative, fund-raising, sporty, music and drama. We meet on Wednesday evenings and we’re always happy to welcome new members.
Contact our Leader, Chris Bond, on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
